Vera Farmiga
Vera Farmiga, known for her performances in horror films such
as "The Conjuring", is also the lead singer of the gothic rock band The Yagas. The band,
formed in 2023, released their debut album, "Midnight Minuet", on April 25th. The album,
with ten tracks, includes the singles "The Crying Room" and "She's Walking Down" and is
produced by Renn Hawkey, Farmiga's husband, and mixed by Brian Virtue.
Renn Hawkey
Renn McDonnell Hawkey is an American musician and producer,
known for being the keyboardist of the band Deadsy. He is currently part of the band The
Yagas, for which he produced the debut album Midnight Minuet. The album's title track
was originally composed by Hawkey for Deadsy.
Jason Bowman
Jason Bowman is the co-owner of the Woodstock Rock Academy and
the drummer for the band The Yagas. The band members met at the music school in 2023.
Bowman was instrumental in the group's formation, suggesting to Renn Hawkey that they
write a song together, which led to the creation of the band's first track. As the
drummer, he is known for providing the intense rhythms that support the group's fusion
of metal, alternative, and industrial rock.
Mark Visconti
Mark Visconti is the guitarist for the band The Yagas. He met
the other members at the Woodstock Rock Academy and is considered an essential part of
the group's sound, contributing textured guitar riffs that complement the synthesizers
and vocals. Visconti collaborated on the initial composition, helping to shape the
band's eclectic sound, which ranges from metal to alternative rock with gothic
influences.
Mike Davis
Mike Davis is the bassist for the band The Yagas. He met the
other members at the Woodstock Rock Academy and, although his previous career is not
detailed, he is described as an essential part of the group. Davis provides the bass
lines that anchor the band's sound, creating a solid rhythmic foundation alongside
drummer Jason Bowman. He participated in the collaborative songwriting process for the
album Midnight Minuet, contributing his personal experiences to the group's sound.
